Metastatic Resonance

Date: 8/2/07

Duration: 1 minute 34 seconds

In this video I put together all of the image manipulation effects that I learned about through the course of our class. I tried to explore different methods of making the image feel alive and moving, as well as the images of different objects seeping through into other images. The term "metastatic" means cancer cells moving on to form a new tumor, this is what I was trying to create with different images coming through in places where they seem juxtaposed

Edit 3 Superimpostion

Date: 7/30/07

The main theme of this dit video is superimposition. In addition to that, I was looking to edit different objects in order to give them a feel of movement which you cant capture with just stills.

Edit 2 Color Manipulation

Date: 7/30/07

In this edit video I was messing around with colors of one object trying to give it different looks and trying to make it look a bit surreal, like something that you see in a dream.

Edit 1 Distortion

Date: 7/30/07

In this edited clip I was trying to manipulate one image in many different ways. I took a picture of a railing and its shadow and tried to do different things with it, such as stretching it out and changing its colors.

Clip 5: Darkness

Date: 7/23/07

These are the pictures that I took in my barn area. Me and my brothers build a haunted house for our Halloween parties years ago. I was looking for imagery where you can't tell what you are looking at. I also switched of between flash shots in order to picture the imagery.

Clip 4: Into the Void

Date: 7/23/07

In this pictorial I mixed up the pictures between my two locations. The theme of this pictorials are predominately metallic objects. Grill, fences, metallic nets can all be seen in here.

Clip 3: Reflection

Date: 7/23/07

The theme of this clip is the reflection of trees cast on water. I was trying to capture trees and the skies above as an almost upside-down shots.

Clip 2: Disposition

Date: 7/23/07

This is another stream clip of my photos, the subject of this pictorial are the plants and their close-ups. I was switching up between the close-ups of plants and other natural objects.

Clip 1: Shadows

Date: 7/23/07

This is the tream clip of photos that I took around my house while I was trying to capture shadows that are cast by trees and other objects. Trees and plants offered quite a few good angles from which I was able to get pictures of plants and trees and the shadows that they cast.

Strategy #2

Location:
crossroads of McArthur Rd. and Merill Hill Rd.
Waukesha, WI 53188
Link:

Light Capturing Strategy:
I will be capturing an atmospheric perspective of one area.

Previous Experience:
While driving by during late hours a number of times, I have found this area to be quite interesting because of the lone light that stands there at the crossroads during the night. It gives this place a sort of dark feeling that I will be trying to capture.

Strategy #1

Location:

Waukesha, WI 53188
(family house & property)

Light Capturing Strategy:
I will be generating imagery of atmoshperic perspectives as well as different objects during different times of the day.

Previous experiences:
I chose this spot because I lived in this house with my family for the past 7 years. There are certain spots that contribute to the house's dark atmosphere, the set up that includes big mansion-type house, the barn, corn fields, woods, and ponds seems like something out of a horror film.
